What is Teacup Agility?
The purpose of the Teacup Dog Agility Association is to provide a competitive venue for dogs of small stature regardless of breed or pedigree; and to encourage course challenges that are comparable to the course challenges which face large dog handlers in other popular venue. |

The smaller courses with
tighter transitional distances between obstacles require a keener
sense of timing and much better handling of the small dog than
is required in any other venue.
Additionally, obstacles
such as tunnels, teeter, a-frame, and dog walk are scaled down
in size, for smaller dogs. |

A little
more information about Teacup Agility:
Teacup is open to all dogs who measure 17 inches and lower (17 included). A formal measurement program is not required. At present it is the "honor system". Many just rely on a measurement from any other recognized organization. (Those of you with long low dogs, look at the provisional jump height option.) You only need to register with TDAA and this can be done right at our trial.
Tea Cup Trials are normally small, so day of trial entries are allowed.
Medina Swarm would like to see EVERY 17 inch and under Swarm dog entered. Two of our members attended a Tea Cup Trial last fall in Marysville, the home of Tea Cup. It would be great if we had at least as many entries as they did! |
Go on the Teacup Agility web page to review the rules. Two standard classes and two games classes will be offered per day. PLUS, there is a fast track option. Those of you with advanced titles in other organizations can fast track from Beginner, to Intermediate, to Superior in ONE weekend. Then go for the big title! |
