What is Medina Swarm?
WHO WE ARE
We are a strong network of interactive community resources that helps reduce shelter populations, thereby saving communities money, making them safer, and promoting more enjoyable canine neighbors. We work to turn contentious dog/human relationships into deep and rewarding bonds of loyal companionship.
As a non-profit, Medina Swarm seeks to educate the public by providing a number of classes, seminars, and special events which respond to the needs of our community. We lend financial and hands-on support to children’s groups, such as 4H clubs. We rin the Catestrohic K9 center for pet food pantry and emergency vet care. We offer programs in responsible dog ownership and safety. Additionally, Medina Swarm sponsors professional services such as training in Obedience, Agility, Rally and Scent work canine CPR, Canine first aid, and Fitness and Conditioning and Rehab therapy.
Medina Swarm has a long history of involvement in humanitarian efforts, which increase canines’ usefulness to society. We train and sponsor Delta Dogs, Therapy Dog International and Therapy Dogs, Inc. certifications for dogs deployed to nursing homes and individuals in need. We work with schools and libraries to provide programs such as Reading Dogs, using therapy dogs to help children gain confidence and develop mastery of literacy skills. . We regularly offer testing and certification in the American Kennel Club-sanctioned Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) programs.
Medina Swarm offers many and varied non-profit services to the broad and ever-growing communities of canine owners and trainers. Our services include, but are not limited to, the following four categories: educational; humanitarian; rescue and rehabilitation; and canine sports and behavioral training programs.
